Overview
Electrical equipment performs best when it is serviced on a plan rather than after something fails. Planned maintenance and testing help keep installations safe, reduce unexpected outages and extend the life of costly equipment such as transformers.
Interkasi provides periodic servicing and testing for distribution transformers and wider power systems, as well as ongoing maintenance of electrical and solar installations. Our experience includes transformer testing and oil filtration at The School of St. Jude in Arusha.
What we do
Every part of this service and how we deliver it.
A distribution transformer supplies power to everything downstream of it, so it should be inspected and serviced at regular intervals. Our periodic service covers checking and servicing the transformer so problems are found early.
In oil-filled transformers, the insulating oil can pick up moisture and contamination over time. Oil filtration cleans the oil and helps maintain the transformer’s insulation performance. We carried out this work on the School of St. Jude’s transformers in May 2023.
Testing checks that equipment and installations perform as they should. We tested 200kVA electrical distribution transformers at three St. Jude campuses (Smith, Sisia/Moshono and Moivaro) as part of that assignment.
Beyond transformers, we maintain electrical and solar installations so that systems continue to perform after hand-over. Regular upkeep helps catch faults early and keeps backup systems ready when you need them.
